A Message from Our Chairman

AFTUDER was founded in 2019 on a simple conviction: Somali communities facing hardship deserve help that is timely, dignified and rooted in local trust.

Since then, we have grown into a multi-sector humanitarian organisation, reaching more than 1.5 million people and delivering over US$9.5 million in programme support across food security, health, education, water and sanitation, orphan care and protection. In 2026 alone, our eye-care programme has already restored sight to 1,428 people, and we aim to reach 2,500 by the end of the year.

Behind these figures are real people – a mother able to feed her children, a child returning to school, an elderly man seeing his grandchildren again. Their resilience inspires us every day.

We are grateful to our staff, volunteers, partners, authorities and donors who make this work possible. We take their trust seriously, and we remain committed to transparency, accountability and the protection of everyone we serve.

The challenges facing Somalia remain great, but so is our determination. We will continue to expand our reach and move from emergency relief towards lasting, community-led solutions.
